These are approximate estimates derived from actual active and recent unit listings at 720 West End Avenue and vary by line, floor, exposure, and square footage — verify the exact common charges and taxes per unit before relying on them. No 421-a/485-x or other property-tax abatement was found for this building (a pre-war conversion of the former Hotel Marcy), and the listed taxes appear to run at full, unabated rates.
Highlights
Buyer Fit
Best for buyers drawn to Central Park access, landmark New York addresses, and full-service luxury buildings.
Location & Transit
Upper West Side, on West End Avenue between 95th and 96th Streets: one block west to Riverside Park and the Hudson, east to Broadway's dense grocery and dining strip, and about one block to the 1/2/3 trains at 96th Street. Central Park, Whole Foods and the Riverside Drive greenway are all an easy walk.
Project Background
720 West End Avenue is a ground-up conversion of a 1927 Emery Roth prewar building (originally the Hotel Marcy) on the Upper West Side. The Renaissance Revival stone base, brick facade and carved two-story entrance are restored, while Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen reimagined the interiors into 131 condos ranging from one to five bedrooms. It launched in early 2026 and sold roughly half its homes within months. The headline: it pairs a genuinely landmark-grade Upper West Side shell with an amenity floor (~30,000 sq ft) that is unusually large for the neighborhood.
